Happy belated Halloween, my minions! Things have been quiet around here, too quiet. The monster making has admittedly slowed down lately because of a new grad school program, new job, other new job, and the general craziness that goes along with entering a new field. Of course, being insanely busy is no excuse to miss out on the Halloween fun. This year is the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters, so it was the perfect excuse to make two costumes that I had been planning for a while now. Without further ado, I give you Vinz Clortho, Keymaster Gozer and Zuul the Gatekeeper!
I made just about everything for both costumes from scratch, with the exception of the Keymaster's thrift store shirts. Aside from a gaggle of tweens who thought we were mad scientists, the response to our costumes was really positive, and we started making the rounds on various Halloween costume lists. We were even featured on the Funny or Die 31 Halloween Costumes Better Than Yours. Of course, now that the bar has been set so high I'm already starting to have anxiety over making next year's costumes even better. Rad!
