Waiting on new gear to arrive, so in the meantime I raided the local craft store for interesting backgrounds. It looks like I murdered a pixie in my apartment...there are sparkles and glitter EVERYWHERE.

![]() Retired Greyhounds As Pets (REGAP) of Connecticut will be holding their annual Pets Affair event in Bethany on Saturday, Sep 29th. This is an event to raise money and awareness for the rescue and adoption of retired racing greyhounds. This is such a great cause! In addition to a plethora of events and activities, San Gato Photography will be there taking event photos and pet portraits all day. Save the date and show the hounds some love! Lots of exciting updates this month. I'm currently in the process of upgrading my computer system, photo editing software, and studio equipment. Within the next couple of weeks I'm also going to start experimenting with special effects and new makeup techniques (old school and in-camera...no photoshop). Needless to say, I have some great ideas for new photo and video projects. Like us on Facebook for updates and sneak peeks of upcoming shoots! I found this little gem while updating my old Flickr profile. A buddy of mine wrote this in my "testimonials" section back in 2008.
"Cat routinely battles zombie-ninjas, leopleurodons and phantom dragon riders with her powerful and mesmerizing photography. I witnessed her hypnotize a horse into paralysis just before it trampled my skull. She then took its picture. You should see her camera; it has brass knuckles mounted on either side and can shoot lasers from the flash. She uses a mamba for a strap and a spiny urchin for a tripod. I've learned half of what I know from Cat's photography. Everything else I know is useless." - JM Butler The new website is finally up! My eyes feel like they're about to bleed from staring at the computer too long, but I'm finally happy with the way things look. Huzzah! Special thanks to John Rennie (johnrenniephotography.com). Andrew Cho (theandrewchoartshow.com) designed the awesome new logo. He is amazing, and I am in his debt.
